Mirasol Soapstone® is a US based company with extensive contacts and staff in Brazil. The company was formed to bring a direct connection between the largest group of legally registered Brazilian quarries and a nationwide network of quality slab distributors, in order to make the very best soapstone available for the North American market. Mirasol Soapstone® believes the more American consumers know about soapstone and the more easily they can obtain it, the more this product will become the product of choice for American homes.
Caesarstone is the original quartz surface manufacturer. With a continuous proactive approach to producing over 40 innovative colors and textures Caesarstone consistently provides a premium quartz surface with remarkable style and endurance – complementing a design application, from classic to contemporary. Nonporous, stain, scratch and heat resistant and backed by a residential lifetime warranty, Caesarstone is the ideal surface for kitchens, vanities and more.
Classic style and finesse lasts with Cambria® stone. Cambria surfaces are 93% pure quartz. Granite typically contains 40-60% quartz with the remaining part composite made up of lesser weaker more porous minerals. Because of this fact granite is far more likely to become damaged via scratches and stains.
Cambria’s strength and long lasting quality also means more can be done with it from a creative standpoint. Designers, architects and homeowners can be very creative with edge design and wide countertop overhangs, giving power to design a bold breathtaking kitchen.
Dekton® by Consentino
Dekton is a sophisticated blend of raw materials used to produce the very latest in glass and porcelain as well as the highest quality quartz work surfaces.
Dekton employs exclusive Sinterized Particle Technology, a high tech process which represents an accelerated version of the metamorphic change that natural stone undergoes when subjected to high temperatures and pressure over thousands of years.
Sinterized particle technology synthesizes truly innovative procedures from the most advanced technology industries. This evolution represents a technological and industrial leap capable of generating a new process, a revolutionary material and a leading product.
Electronic microscopy allows us to fully appreciate the material’s zero porosity, a consequence of the sinterization and ultra-compaction process exclusive to DEKTON. This zero porosity and lack of the micro-defects that cause tension or weak spots mark the difference as far as DEKTON is concerned.
In 2010, it launched its first board under the Neolith brand onto the market aiming to provide an innovative response to the architecture and interior design sectors. A new material with extraordinary characteristics which is appropriate for interiors and exteriors. Since then, TheSize has been consolidating itself in the world market with the Neolith product as the pioneer and leading Sintered Compact Surface in its sector.
Sintering Technology: compacting, resistance and durability
It consists of subjecting the 100% natural raw materials to very high pressures and temperatures. The combination of raw materials goes through a press in a first phase where force/pressure of up to 400 bars is applied. In a second phase, the boards are baked in an oven at a temperature of more than 1,200ºC. This way, the Sintering Technology used by TheSize gives Neolith physical and mechanical features which are unprecedented in the construction industry.
